1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of this portfolio website and any professional services provided by [Your Name / Studio Name] (“I,” “me,” or “my”). By browsing this site or engaging my services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, please do not use this website or proceed with any service engagement.
2. Services offered
I provide professional WordPress development services, which may include but are not limited to:
- Custom WordPress theme and plugin development
- Website design, redesign, and UI customisation
- WooCommerce setup and e-commerce development
- Website migration, maintenance, and performance optimisation
- Third-party API and plugin integration
- Bug fixes, troubleshooting, and technical support
The exact scope, deliverables, timeline, and pricing for each project will be defined in a separate project agreement or proposal signed by both parties.
3. Project agreements & proposals
All projects begin with a written proposal or statement of work. No work shall commence until the client has approved the proposal in writing (email confirmation is sufficient) and any required deposit has been received.
Changes to the agreed scope of work will be treated as a change request. Additional features or revisions outside the original scope may incur additional costs and timeline adjustments, which will be communicated and agreed upon before implementation.
4. Payment terms
Project suspension: I reserve the right to pause or withhold delivery of project files if payment is not received on time.
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit (typically 30–50% of the total project cost) is required before work begins.
Final payment: The remaining balance is due prior to delivery of final files or website launch, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late payments: Invoices unpaid after 14 days of the due date may incur a late fee of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.
5. Client responsibilities
To ensure smooth project delivery, the client agrees to:
- Provide all required content, images, branding assets, and access credentials in a timely manner
- Give clear, consolidated feedback within the agreed review periods
- Ensure they have the legal right to use any materials (text, images, logos) provided to me for the project
- Project delays caused by late client feedback or missing assets may result in revised timelines and are not the responsibility of the developer
6. Revisions & feedback
Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds as specified in the project proposal. Revisions must be requested within the agreed review window. Additional revisions beyond the included rounds will be billed at my current hourly rate. Revisions do not include new features or changes to the original agreed scope
7. Intellectual property & ownership
- Upon full payment, the client receives full ownership of the custom work created for their project, including custom themes and code written specifically for them.
- Third-party assets (premium themes, plugins, stock images, fonts) remain subject to their respective licences and are not transferred.
- Portfolio rights: I reserve the right to display the completed project in my portfolio and use it in promotional materials, unless the client requests otherwise in writing.
- Pre-payment: All work remains the intellectual property of the developer until full payment is received.
8. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any sensitive business information, credentials, or proprietary data shared during the project. I will not share your login credentials, private data, or business information with any third party without your explicit consent, except where required by law.
